Silent Disco Citywalk is a 60 or 90-min immersive, interactive and energising audio tour for a group of 8-50 people of various ages brought to you by Papaya Stories. The outdoor experience inspires to get loose and transform the city into the playground by connecting to its public spaces, hidden gem, local people and the arts scene. It's a fun and positive walk that sets you free, such a delight for your mental and emotional health.
You don't need to like dancing to enjoy the Silent Disco Citywalk! Just be yourself and take a walk on the wild side. The pre-recorded audio entertainment programme will lift you up, even if dancing isn't your thing. Put the wireless headphones on, enjoy a themed music playlist along with positive affirmations, jokes and riddles that your guide prepared for you. Then play games and watch creative performances that transform the unexpected places spontaneously.
Silent Disco Citywalk sparks curiosity, gives the sense of freedom, joy for all sort of adventure lovers - whether you are familiar or new to the city. The special vibe at the event is created by our dance guides that also look after the health & safety at the event.
We have six routes available in Auckland. Each route has its own theme, music playlist, entertainment programme and surprises. Daytime and nighttime options are available. We are keen to launch new routes and launch the initiative in various cities across New Zealand. Click here to find out more.
I wish we could do the silent disco every weekend. My favourite part was hugs. I got lots of hugs.

What Silent Disco CityWalk provides is a space for release, and an opportunity to reflect and simply enjoy the pleasure of being present in the moment. Sublime.
It was a very positive experience – we loved the energy and enthusiasm and enjoyed seeing some areas of Auckland we hadn’t been to before. Overall, 10 out of 10.
I feel good to be a child again where you aren’t concerned about who you are and what others think of you. Rather you are in the moment and this is the best part of your event.
We visited parts of Henderson which we had never known about previously and, yes, it was so much fun. We felt alive after dancing for what seemed to be a short time!
